The California Water Plan (CWP) is the State’s strategic plan for managing and developing water resources statewide for current and future generations. The CWP is required by the California Water Code but does not create mandates or authorize funding. The California Water Plan Update 2013 (Update 2013) is the 11th in a series of such plans
prepared since 1957.
